The Symposium will be held in the Smith Memorial Student Center, on the third floor. Please check-in in room 338 on the third floor for further info, and to sign up for workshops! You may park in any of the designated places for visitor campus parking, structure 1, 2, or 3. Welcome! This is the official website for PSU’s 1st Annual Feminist Pedagogy, Diversity and Social Justice Education Symposium.
This symposium is an opportunity for instructors at PSU and other local institutions to share and learn about feminist and critical teaching practices in higher education.
How can our practice better promote equity and justice? Through a diverse selection of workshops participants will engage around issues such as: Interrupting sexism, , Challenging Privilege in a Room Full of Privileged Students, Feminist Community Building, Teaching in Prisons: Challenges and Joys, and many others.
This symposium will take place on April 16th on the PSU campus from 9-4:15, with a reception to follow 4:30-5:30.
